Children's Creative Studies

This course is designed to give guidance to participants with their artistic development, such as:

• Learning the techniques of colour mixing.
• How to achieve tone with both pencil sketching and using colour media.
• Gaining an understanding of how perspective is achieved in their composition.
• Understanding the proportions of their subject such as in life drawing.

New Course for Post Primary Students

Basic artistic skills such as those listed above, advancing on to the skills needed for Junior Cert Art. A number of crafts will also be covered, these include:

• Batik
• Pottery/Ceramics
• lino printing (B/W & Colour)
• Mono printing
• Construction
• Puppet making

Suitable for 1st years - 6th years
One and a half hours per week
Time of lesson to suit the course participants.

Cost per term:

• Term One - 10 weeks = 150 euro
• Term Two - 10 weeks = 150 euro
• Term Three - 07 weeks = 105 euro
